Re: The '60s Garage Band Website
Sun, July 2, 2006 - 5:42 PMahh..bless yer heart. A possible last great gasp of NW originals has been esconsed in Tacoma for the past year or so...the Orig. "Fabulous Wailers" are being led by Kent Morrill and Buck Ormsby (who discovered and produced the SONICS). They strung a "Wailers House Party" radio thing together for months on a local AM. CDs are available on their site.
(No, I'm not "with the band"- in fact, I'm NOT willing to sign over my check for merch!..they DO deserve our respect and thanks..)
They joined Ely's Kingsmen and the Ventures (reverend bow..) for a huge block party last month...and are facilitating LOUIEFEST adj. to Fort Lewis in a Pierce County park for a BBQ and autograph thinger...plus the Guiness Book attempt for most guitars in one place playing...OUR national anthem. If you're interested in attending, I'll help you find yer way around....
